First my deepest condolences to Kenji Goto's family, especially his children. My condolences as well to the people of Japan.
Second the media need to stop referring to these cowardly thugs as ISIS, they are Da'ish.
Next, the West has been coddling the House of Saud for way to long. It is the house of Saud along with the Wahhabi that are breeding these cretin and exporting them. The U.S. in particular needs to stop acting like a serf to the dictatorship of Saud and law down the law. The should immediately bomb a Wahhabi madras-ah as well as one residence of the House of Saud, this nonsense would end quickly.

The TPP gives too much power to corporations, and is an assault on free market principles.
"For this and many other reasons, the TPP represents an astonishing assault on democracy and national sovereignty, threatening not only existing public-interest laws, but also the ability of governments to pass such laws in the future."

The right to vote in the U.S. is under attack, the issue of an ID could easily be solved by putting a picture on the social security card that is issued to everyone, but the Neo-Confederates in Congress block such efforts.
The Bush Administration investigated allegations of voter fraud and found it to be non-existent.
WASHINGTON, April 11 — Five years after the Bush administration began a crackdown on voter fraud, the Justice Department has turned up virtually no evidence of any organized effort to skew federal elections, according to court records and interviews.

Panabelle you are partially right, the problem is 5 corporations control all media in the U.S., this is why they get so much right wing extremist propaganda.
And since we are talking about Piers, why am I reading this in Japan Today? How is it relevant to Japan today?

The Republicans are owned by corporations , these corporations are angry that they no longer will get a tax subsidy to purchase insurance because it will now go to the individual. Whether you agree with the U.S. taking military action or not does not matter. What matters is that on the one hand the U.S. Congress cries that the U.S. is broke but now clamors for military action, how do they propose to pay for it? If the NeoCons want another war they need to raise taxes to pay for it.

@Secular Beast Thank for the link, but those "vacuum ships" are exactly what needs to be banned by international law.
