Half the reason for this is female visors are allowed in anyone’s room / dormitory on base now days. I was surprised to learn of this, last time I lived there.
It was never allowed decades ago, only for higher ranking individuals.
I would be very interested to know exactly what base and building this occurred in, because it sounds like it didn’t happen in a dormitory

Then, as a school trip, you’re told you’re going to a ticking gas bomb. Makes you want to run in your room and start packing a bag, or, you can go to Universal Studios…which would you choose? (No doubt some teachers had ASSIGNMENTS all set for the kids to have to work on while there)

I went to high school with at least a dozen people that were avid hunters (I knew / know all of them well) and nobody ever gave a thought about those long guns (in the Redneck Capital) hanging in the backs of their trucks (in case the moderator doesn’t know, the word “REDNeck is “Racist”) .
If we had a problem with each other (which seldom occurred) we didn’t solve it with guns.
You don’t have to be a genius to figure out what changed, people’s ATTITUDES.
