Here in the first photo, we have a fine example of social distancing to ensure the build up of what will surely be a totally safe games in 29 days.

Here in the second photo we have a photo of the Tokyo 2020 president (and debatably of Japan too) who ideally wants to project the message that the games will be safe and successful but is visibly double-masking

Here we have a photo of the Tokyo 2020 president double-masking as a precaution, diligently informing us that it's fine to host 10,000 spectators because clusters haven't been reported for smaller sports events in other countries with much stricter virus control measures...

Posted in: Plans to sell alcohol at Olympic venues draw criticism from thirsty Tokyo residents See in context

Here we have a picture of a special summer quazi-izakaya, which will open during a quazi-state of safety (to be announced very soon, trust me guys), serving quazi-beer to quazi spectators with quazi-coughs, who will enjoy quazi-entertainment - culminating in a quazi variant which athletes can take home as a momento...

Accutely aware this is a quazi-comment from a quazi-observer. I apologise.

Here we have a photo of Thomas Bach on a big TV practicing a safe Olympics (by not being physically present at the meeting). Evidently, he didn't make the 50% cap today.

here we see a photo of a patient being led into walled off area for privacy during a vaccination - privacy is of course respected at all times, with overhead cameras, tv crews and a larger cluster of people in close proximity inside the area than outside.

Buy now - those olympic condoms will be hard to come by in the future

Posted in: Japanese condom makers fear anticlimax at Olympics See in context

"brought back by athletes to their respective home countries and to help them support the campaign to raise awareness"

raise awareness of...? condoms were introduced in the 1850s and people have surely been acutely aware of hiv/aids for at least 40 years... awareness of something else...?

I have this surreal image of teams flying home after the games, being swarmed by the press at the airport... Athletes discarding medals and instead posing for photos with the all-singing 0.01mm models to raise awareness of what is soon to be available at your nearest reputable importer at a modest price.

here we have a photo of a person sat down, being watched and inoculated by a person being watched by another person, being watched by another two people, being watched by a security guard... this image speaks volumes
