I think they will engage in a movement similar to Hong Kong. There will be an effort to replace the Taiwanese population through immigration and high birth rates (similar to Muslims in South Asia and Europe), along with emigration of Taiwanese to locations with higher paying jobs. They will then get the Mainland Chinese to vote in a government that allows deeper security ties between China and Taiwan.

To make sure that people wear seatbelts when there is a high chance of turbulence. You may as well ask why people are allowed to fly if there is a higher chance of turbulence than training.

I am intrigued about the moment that the mother noticed there was something wrong because the machine started to fill with water and spin. Why didn't she notice it before? And why did she thing that water spinning in a washing machine was abnormal?

Vietnamese are usually active in Chiba, and Chinese criminals tend to be associated with different type of crime. Ibaraki has a larger number of Indonesians if anything but there isn't really a type of crime that is assoacited with them yet.

@JJE Do you think all all ethnic minorities in western countries such as the US should not be allowed to vote because it would dilute.the majority vote? It's what is at the heart of this debate.
The same debate will happen in countries where the largest ethnic minority aren't the colonialists but in fact Chinese or Indian.

@Nandakandamanda
In other territories of the pacific islands, the largest non-native population are usually Chinese or Indian, and there have been numerous political movements and even riots to disenfranchise these ethnic minorities. While I agree that colonialism is generally bad, the law that the French government is trying to impose should be considered progressive in the context of the pacific islands due to rampant discrimination against ethnic minorities.

Firstly, it's important to note that only a small minority of activists are taking part in this movement. In fact around a half of natives support the French law, which is why it is so controversial
The second point is that there is major problem with voter disenfranchisement of Asians in many pacific island countries, and laws such as this one would be required to support ethnic minorities in said regions.

@Wasabi If religion had nothing to do with politics then Islamophobia would still exist in India. Look at the South Asian diaspora in Europe to see the consequences of losing the religious morality but keeping the Islamophobic conflict.
The BJP is still likely to win and make some momentous gains including intervention into Tamil politics, something unheard of even ten years ago. They are likely to score Coimbatore which is the heart of Tamil Hindu Nationalism. Pondicherry is already a BJP seat.

They do something similar already and its called a tourist tax.
Just increase the sales tax to EU levels, and offer Japanese citizens a tax refund or tax deduction that equals the increase in sales tax.
Maybe those who pay using PayPay or a Japanese bank card can avoid sales tax altogether.
