Companies like Uniqlo & MC Donalds making more money, doesnt that indicate we have more poor population on this planet than people who can afford more expensive and better clothes?

Pans Labyrinth was really nice movie and it made you think about many aspects of life! Hellboy was SOSO and I liked it watching once! But honestly, Pacific Rim feels crap to me....good luck to people paying $20 without popcorns

Posted in: AirAsia, ANA part ways over management clashes See in context

Really Japanese corporate are so stubborn that they would end up business in hugh losses rather than changing the business style.....amazing!! Air Asia is a success every where and I guess ANA felt threat that if they survive here longer then bankrupt JAL & ANA will get more hard time in future. Initial set costs are high and higher for aviation industry and considering no flights from Haneda I think Air Asia did pretty well in first fiscal year! I feel pity for people who loved to travel on Air Asia will have to be ripped off again by two vultures named JAL & ANA!

Posted in: One woman in three a victim of domestic violence: WHO See in context

Well, figures dont lie and as a man I accept women being target of DV for sure....but this is something deep in human nature and deep in some cultures too, cant be reduced for sure. Even in advanced country like Japan there is still a lot of hidden DV where women and men are both victim. But the amount of verbal abuse created by women which leads to provocation and physical abuse by their partner goes unnoticed......thats very unfair

Posted in: 3-year-old boy dies after being hit by car in Iwate See in context

For all those parent bashers here - it is utmost pain and darkest moment in life for parents to lose their kid in such manner. The story is incomplete and it does not indicate if the parents are really responsible and in what situation the kid dropped in front of car suddenly. I have three kids and one of them is three years old now. Small kids make sudden moves and they disappear and takes you few seconds to realize where they went even before you realize what happened. And it takes few seconds for such a tragic accident to happen......RIP baby

All comments I see here are from users upgrading from XP or Vista to Windows 8, is there anyone who has upgraded from Windows 7? Because I personally use Windows 7 professional and I dont find a single reason to update to Windows 8 on a non-touchscreen desktop or laptop.

OMG, I walked in front of these Ueno apartments more than hundred time and there is even a Times car parking which I have used couple of times but I never realized this old shaggy building was of such importance. But if it is so important then why demolish?? I can understand nobody wants to live in a 100 year old building but it can be used for other purpose. Perhaps land of high value and greedy real estate companies just look for profit.......so sad!! Will get few shots before the last Ueno dojunkai is gone!

300mbps??? Just as Mirai Hayashi said, we dont get even 50mbps in everyday life so just forget about 300mbps!! Most of the countries overseas provide hardly 1~2 mbps, so I dont think I need this product for a while. Wimax is far better for outdoor use!

Seriously talking, MM should stop manufacturing vehicles other than Lan Evo as they are not only well behind in innovations but the production has serious quality problems. MM has seen a big decline in sales and that clearly indicates the future of this company.

Posted in: Docomo to test service that makes smartphones more intuitive See in context

I'm a user of docomo for more than ten years but docomo is recently losing grounds to AU and Softbank consistentaly! There was a time when NTT had its monopoly but times have changed and you need not only good technology but superior products too including Apple products to stay in competition! Whatever Apple haters say I dont see Apple losing fan base for minimum of next five years atleast. Android is used widely but has more problems compared to other OS and most of the present docomo phones run on Android. I hope docomo bring more choice and variety to the lineup rather than all copycat Android phones and tablets

How can Toyota manage themselves to crush the long and old image for this mighty car....unbelieveable

Posted in: Five accused plead not guilty to Delhi gang rape, murder See in context

Yosun - Crime (Rape & Murder in this topic) happens in every part of globe and India is still lot safer compared to many more countries we know, millions of tourist visit India and leave safely. Its your personal desicion to cancel or plan your trip unless you are travelling to war zones like Syria, Afghanistan, etc. People there did show their feelings for this case but in peaceful manner. Things are pretty normal their and many people are travelling their normally.

I think that female to own equal rights as male is important for india to become a better place.

Historically, patriarchy (male dominance) has manifested itself in the social, legal, political, and economic organization of a range of different cultures. Patriarchy also has a strong influence on modern civilization, although many cultures have moved towards a more egalitarian social system over the past century. We know very well that countries like Japan or Korea never treats female in the same manner as male.

Posted in: Five accused plead not guilty to Delhi gang rape, murder See in context

Peter Payne - can please be more specific what do you mean by a proper country? As far as I read this news from JT, the culprits are going through proper trial and Indian government is creating strict laws to penalize rape convicts more harshly, isnt that a good news? Besides those rape culprits not only gang raped her but injured her intestines with an iron rod inserted her body, leading her injuries to death, what do you expect from the judge? India is a republic country where people are free to make their speech and public outrage can be seen in many countries on different controversies!! There is nothing such as a proper country, ever country has its positives and drawbacks!!

Posted in: Japanese husbands shout their love for wives in public See in context

hidingout and bicultural, I personally support and love Japan in many ways but you know why there so many negative comments on this topic, because this is not the Japanese way, and they dont even bother to change, most of them are not even considered about extinction of Japanese race. 40% Japanese men dont want to get married and 65% of married want to get divorce, this society is losing emotional values at great speed, and I think emotions seperate us from machines! Bravo to organizer, good event, but this shouldn't be normal? To appreciate your wife regularly, to express your feeling regularly if not everyday!!! Do we need events organized for such things??? Shouldn't they try to change more of them rather than just working 24/7 to build good economy??

Posted in: Japanese husbands shout their love for wives in public See in context

especially when one man got down on his knees to offer his wife a bouquet.

I give my Japanese wife bouquet more than three times a year, specially on her birthday and valentines day when every girl in Japan is running behind chocolate bars. Problem in Japan is that life is too much materialistic and these people are becoming like emotionless robots. You get something on valentine and then you have to return on white day, is everything in this country about give and take? No emotions??? The Japanese who interact with foreigners change a lot but those who dont they need to see Korean movies and dramas to feel what love could like be....sad.

Keep crying for eternity....what a shame!!! What about putting posters on every home and every street?? Keep living in past Koreans and Chinese! I am neither Japanese nor related to all these countries but if I simply compare with other war crimes commited by ruling states, they are not crying yet (for example Indians are not always crying about being ruled by British and many more cases like that) And even if Japanese government compensates them AGAIN and offer APOLOGY again, we will see these people crying after ten years again!
