A “Rockstar” energy drink does the trick for me once in a while, but they were scarce in Japan.

LoL........ yeah, the countries (including Japan) who have great trade surpluses with US each fiscal year. Must be nice.

Good job Abe. Show ur loyalty to the Trump Administration. It’s because of Trump, rockets are no longer flying over Japan.

We all want peace & security..... right? Right? Yeah, Mm-Hmm...... that’s what I thought-

“Trump meets with U.S. Supreme Court contenders”

I hope he appoints a conservative female. Remember? The ones Hillary said were forced to go out & vote for Trump by their conservative husbands on election night. People..... you just can’t make this stuff up-

De-escalation in the region & ultimately “peace.”

Thanks Trump, thanks Pence!!

Meanwhile, the protesters are marching against the separation of children from the mothers who’ve illegally entered the USA.

The same people saying paying they care about those children yet they’re okay with abortions. Ohhh the hypocrisy!!

“They also agreed to tighten their external border and increase financing for Turkey, Morocco and other North African states to prevent migration to Europe.”

Sounds right, except for the financing. A country with no borders is NOT a country.

Posted in: Mattis reassures Japan over N Korea talks; cites abductees See in context

“Interesting that comments promoting the idea that Japan should modern its military are deleted by the moderators on this site despite being of no offensive nature whatsoever.”

This is because Japan hates change. And so any mention or views of revising Article #9 are ostracized and considered radical.

I think all those Marines on Okinawa should go home. Let young Japanese guys catch Chinese bullets if the “s”-hits-the-fan.

It’s a “special relationship” because Japan is a protectorate of the USA. What would be normal is if Japan renounced Article #9 and grows up a little.

Look at all these grumpy posts.

The “people“ voted. The referendum successfully passed, however narrow. We should respect the outcome & wish them the best. Not throw tantrums.

More & more young Japanese wanting to enjoy themselves and have more freedom. I can see that happening. And it is, so I’ve seen in the past.

But on the flip side those old politicians got a point. So what? More & more foreign workers in the future? They won’t be westerners..... probably a bunch of Chinese, Filipino & Sri Lankans.

There needs to be more Metal Shows. They got Loudpark, but tickets are way overpriced. In the states nobody pays 150-200 bucks for a good Metal festival.

Worse. In Japan, you cannot even tailgate most venues. Or go into the mosh-pit.

"Elect more Republicans in November and we will pass the finest, fairest and most comprehensive Immigration Bills anywhere in the world,"

Couldn’t agree more. I don’t understand why the democrats are so hell bent on having open borders and an open visa lottery.

Melania's jacket causes stir on border visit”

If she wore someone else, the fake media would’ve drummed up some other negative story / stories.

Remember she went to TX (hurricane Harvey) in those high heels? They tried to have a field day w/ that too. They’re just mad because they lost the election.

Kawasaki, Honda, Suzuki are dirty cheap. Ask anyone who rides bikes: “which would u rather own a Harley-Davidson or another bike?”

Yup. But hey..... in that country folks just think “gambate-gambate” suppressing & bottling up up their true feelings and emotions. I don’t know how they live in those kinds of circumstances / expectations.

“if you're not doing what you can to resist the ultra-rightists”

The ultra rightists are feeding them 3 squares per day. Providing temporary shelter & are being treated humanely. The will get their day in court with a federal magistrate.

Meanwhile they remain in “our” custody. They came to the border & crossed it.

“Instead Chinese are only shown when causing trouble or being laughed at for "bakugai". They are not shown as engaging positively in Japanese culture. “

Yup. When I lived in Japan, most Japanese thought negatively on the Chinese. Yet, when I’d be in places like Omotesando, Odaiba, Ueno / Yoyogi Park, Harajuku / Shibuya-the Chinese tourists were usually respectful, courteous, enjoying their visit & pumping lots of their money into the economy.
