Pretty much disagree with most of the commenters here. The English dubs for Ghibli films since the days that Studio Ghibli films were released by Disney in English speaking territories have been the best in the business. The casting and performances have been very appropriate For example, Michael Keaton's performance in Porco Rosso has been compared very favourable to Jean Reno's performance in the French dub. I myself love the Kiki's Delivery Service English dub, featuring Kirsten Dunst, Phil Hartmann and Janeane Garofalo.

I watched Kimitachi wa dô ikiru ka in Nagoya in August, so I am pretty enthusiastic to see it in English in December.

Is there a dislike of anything but white rice by the Japanese, or is that another misnomer?

I try not to eat white rice, brown or black rice is better for my gut, and certainly not good for diabetic or pre-diabetic diets. It seems to me though that Japanese people eat pretty much only white rice as their staple, and I've not heard of diabetics being a serious issue in Japan? What else is in their diet to stave off diabetics?

Having said that I wish that Japanese restaurants would offer brown or black rice as an option, but I get that it's cheaper to just have white rice in their meals.

The Yokohama War Cemetery is a solemn and serene location; I have visited there several times. Open to the public, when you come in from the busy and packed streets of Hodogaya, you are witness to a wide, expansive green oval. This is a weird thing. Squash for years have met the requirements to be an Olympic sport, yet the powers that be always turn the sport down.
