Who buys a watch these days, not? There are not enough enthusiasts to pay the light bill, let a lone the rent in Giza. Its too late to bring back or start a watch trend again.

Posted in: Japan needs anti-smoking law ahead of Tokyo Olympics: WHO See in context

As much as it is for the greater good, its sad to see a nation being forced to conform to The Nanny State ideology. The more control people are subjected to the less they become responsible for their own actions. Japanese people on the whole seem to be responsible citizens conforming needs and desires rather than endless over regulation that has buried nations in legislation.

Such a waste, seeing these people holding and taking up space that others could have used for hours and left for the next person. Its not like Hanabi where the event is only for 30 minutes.

Posted in: Japan says no barriers to auto imports after U.S. fires trade salvo See in context

Fostering supporting industries looks like protectionism to some, but providing profit for reserch, stable employment, a way of life and growth environment for subordinate and paralel indusrieies with science and reserch is a good thing. Japan has used its skill and proffit to benifit the world while the US has developed an arms industry and bombed the "unko" out of any lesser nation with oil.

Posted in: Japan took in 28 refugees in 2016, despite record applications See in context

Japan helps its neighbours, so here are these peoples? More than 50,000 Korean refugees came to Japan when in need. Assimilation is difficult for many refugees, dilution of culture is not worth the risk.

Posted in: Japan seeks way out of Trump's bad books on trade See in context

If people thing Trump is a fool then they are the fools. It takes intelect to play the part (a fool) to get what you want. He is not a politican, he is a business man, don't get confused. He means business for the US, which as buissiness people know, when the US dose well, so does the rest of the world.

Posted in: Court upholds deportation order for Thai teenager born and raised in Japan See in context

Its tough love. Setting a precedent for an influx of pregnant woman having babies to get Japanese passports for their children, as is common in other countries such as US and Hong Kong. In this boys case I feel he has a good opertunity to go to Thailand and apply for a visa and then return to Japan with the correct visa, that would allow him to work and live in Japan, which is what happens in other countries. Its no shame that Japan is nationalistic, keeping Japan for Japanese people is a fair request by the Japanese people and the Government and Law system which represents the Japanese people. Using the decline in population or the emotion is not connected with the problem.
