Its an eyesore with bags of dirty earth piled high, hotspots occurred where contaminated water ran to, over all background radiation we are told here in Australia is only 6 or 7 and we should know we mine the dam stuff.

Just put the top soil back, remove the plastic and move on, maybe not agriculture, but forestry, some product that's not eaten.

Very brave or very stupid that she came back, they have no connection to Nissan, so should just quietly leave, forfeit the bail, as a fine to reimburse Nissan and GO.

At this stage self driving is too clever for Nissan, just smart nav with 5G will do, I know it doesn't sound like a winner, but striving for "best taxi" is a good step towards the future cars have to be like, and if you've seen the "Crowns", they drive now in Japan, you would be hard pressed to think its the Worlds third economy !

Do you remember Mazda with its polluting rotary engine or the turbo era, with noise and smoke, or VW with its diesel, Nissan have made a start with LEAF, but no cars should have auxiliaries driven by belts, so Nissan could lead the way, and that would help their shares.

People are concerned about air purity, that is why the push for EV, or at least hybrid (no-idle), have you ever been in a traffic jam, with fumes of the cars blowing in the cars behind, its disgusting !

NISSAN definitely need a CLEAN image in more ways than one !

Well we "share" escooters and ebike, using hi viz shirts, helmets and disposible hairnets, yes "sharable" cars is coming, and Nissan better be ready for it, with their new team from the top down.

Well move ahead with electrifying the whole range, people don't like fan belts anymore, and they are still wary of EVs

So there is no Chairman and Renault are just as much in charge of the whole business as before, his wife had multiple passports as did Ghosn, no I think the prosecutors did a good job, and no conviction so they haven't done anything wrong, just kept him from the Press.

I wish Nissan et al the best, its all about electric cars from now on.

Probably best to treat the allergens at source with topical application in upper nasal cavity; eye watering, mucus and sneezing are all secondary symptoms.

Well that's not so bad, after all you only have to go as far as Japan to find the use of Ivory, so you can't really blame BRI unless America tells you to.

Not sure the sound matters but the ORDER of machine readable letters that constitutes your "name", certainly does, so you need to get this most basic question answered, first name second name or second name first name ?

Same date; do you put day then month or month then day ?

Ethically its wrong, but so is the top one percent having all the money, what surprises me is fifteen hardworking phone operators can make $12million in two months from such a tiny scam;

falsely claim that their phone use exceeded a limit and that they would need to pay an excess charge to continue using their phones.

I mean excess charge on phone usage is not a lot, normally.

Is this a real story.

Posted in: Kono suggests need to end reversal of Japanese names in English See in context

Its a very profound question, more to do with the age of the culture, in the old days with book keepers they would put surname first, but with modern computers it could cope with Christian name first, find the space and sort by surname, what's of more concern is how middle names are treated.

Left out, initialised or written in full.

Posted in: Kono suggests need to end reversal of Japanese names in English See in context

So even we will put "Surname,Christan name" for lists (like phonebooks, remember those ?), but address people and letters the normal way.

But then we have longer more varied Surnames.

Posted in: Can Japan end its love affair with plastic? See in context

The use of vending, and subsequent collection at vending, of both plastic and aluminium is a particularly Japanese way of achieving great efficiency in packaging.

We in Australia now buy heavy duty plastic shopping bags that we reuse, I think the biggest issue with free ones, was they would blow from the rubbish dump, out to sea, and get swallowed by the Turtles, Whales & Dolphins.

Low temperature of the fire is also caused by high fuel humidity, particularly wood. The most frequently repeating notion is thatburning plastics produces dioxins. ... Dioxins in the off-gasses of combustion will be present in wood fires and plasticfires alike, if chlorine is present.Apr 22, 2018

So we should know wood burning is not good either

@WSlifko;This would also create jobs.

"We have a serious problem, the Japanese population is going down to half the number of the current population within 50 years."

Instead of relying on human immigrants or a baby boom to solve the decline, Prof Ishiguro points to the possibility of utilising robots instead.

"We don't have enough annual immigrations, Japan is an isolated country, it's an island, our culture is quite different from other countries,"

"It is not so easy for the foreigners to survive in Japan in some sense,' Prof Ishiguro said.

"That is the main reason why we are so crazy for creating robots, and robots would be better at sorting and waste management, this is what the Government should look at, also automated self driving delivery with boxes and very little packaging.

So while other countries were burning it to discourage trade, Japan was actually still making items out of it, and this goes on thirty years later, really is a hard country to love
