This is a very interesting award. I don’t read translated comics in English as I like the original Japanese Manga. I wish the writer gave us more information of titles of past winners and who one the top prize.

Very spot on points by many of you.

Now, let’s not forget: When did the Corona Virus start to spike for the first time? The day after the 2020 Olympics were postponed! Koike was adamant that they would not be cancelled and said 絶対-Zettai- they would go on. But then the IOC said what a min since athletes started pulling out. So we now have an Election this Sunday that all only Japanese citizens are allowed to participate. So of course, no one what’s the economic to slow down again and so Koike doesn’t need any bad press before Sunday. I guarantee on Mon, the new Virus cases will be over 100 people again and the 2bd Wave is here. I know everyone is tired of staying home but we need to take care of ourselves since the Gov. will not!

Oh Anna!! That is a wonderful idea.

I would have liked to do the same thing as a Light Skinned Black American but growing older now I don’t mind talking to the people. Actually, a good way is to give them a lot of info from the first question and if they still want to talk to you then they may be worthy of true interaction.

Mirai HayashiToday  06:18 am JST

WilliaminTK:

In Japan, there is basically one race of people.

Japan is actually a homogeneous country made up of Ainus, Rikkyus, Bonins, and Yamatos all with their own distinct genetic traits and migration origins.

Yes Mirai-san, that is why I said basically. Let’s not get into the discrimination of those people and the taking of lands.

As for the rest of the non Afro-Americans committing on this, it doesn’t matter what they call us, the point is that things need to change sooner than later. I think we all can agree with that.

Posted in: NHK removes video on U.S. protests after online outrage about depiction of African Americans See in context

Being a person of color who is from the US let me tell you all how it is!

As a boy they called me a Nig¥@¥ or Negro(Neither consider polite). Then in around HS, they said Afro-American is politically correct.

Then it changed to African American.

However we usually use “Black” as they is the way people see us as. Now is it right, no I don’t think so. However, you need to understand is we were taken, sold, and traded from Africa some 400 years ago no knowing where are true homeland is. Yes we were Slaves with no rights and help to build the “Land of the Free” which was stolen from the Native American Tribes.

Now it is 2020 and yes there have been many improvements but the nation has never really accepted “ Ex-Slaves” into being truly equal. This is the point you have to understand. Before the Term “Diversity”, “Equal Rights” was the key phrase all companies and media was using. This was mainly for helping the “minorities” to get a fare shake at jobs, loans, education, etc. However, the Elite needed a new term as they don’t really want to help or share so to put everyone in one basket “ Diversity” was born and now this is the term they can use for all women, disabled, LGBT, and minorities. No more quotas are needed and this makes it easier for the “Man” to keep ruling the world.

In Japan, there is basically one race of people. Therefore it is hard for the people to understand why things are so different in America which is a melting pot of all races under the sun.

I don’t blame the Japanese people for not knowing any better but times are changing quickly. Generation Z is coming and they know technology. The population is sinking and in 30 years the foreign population be tripled ! In the US, Caucasian population has dwindled down under 50% so the minority will become the majority. Therefore they are afraid of change from the norm. The key is how to keep the power and the political institution is so important. They want the people to be angry and feel helpless so not to vote in the elections.

So as you can see with all of the Protest worldwide, no government wants to get the people really angry because the secret will get out! If we rise up, no one can control us. We the people rule this world. You must all realize we the many are ruled by the few. They use propaganda and fear to control us because they really cannot otherwise.

We shall overcome!

Love and Peace To you all.

I like many I want the Olympics to happen being selected as a volunteer. However, with a Pandemic declared today, we should probably postpone it while there is time to give a new date and make preparations. Waiting until May is cutting it close since we start training at that time.

No one is talking about what the kids think about this!!

I am sure they have no problem not having to go school. Of course for those graduating that sucks but they can have a makeup ceremony in the coming months after the situation has faded.

Now the parents worried about the kids being home alone!! Come on now! Very easy. Get the JR/HS Kids to look after the little ones if the parents cannot be at home. Donate some Video game systems and smart phones and let the kids have fun at home.

The Government didn’t talk about the overflow before the tanks where put in place. So much destruction of sea life and a huge no life zone just moving around that area. They need to release that water in Fukushima Ghost Towns since no- one can live there anymore for 30 years.

Lord help us if we have teen age police running around!! What the hell are they thinking training someone underage for police work. This is in Shiga people. What kind of stressful things could be happening down there? Now that I think about it, I guess since there is not much action, they figure they can start early before the kids become adults. Poor kid. Watching too much anime and thinking about killing by shooting in the back of the head. If he shot any criminal that would be much better but one of your own.... not good at all. He will rot in a prison cell for a long time.

Being from California, I feel the for the kid and his mother. However, he was here to study correct? His story seems a little off.

1)Picked up to companions at his hotel! Translation: Two escorts or hostesses.

2) After 3 beers he is knocked out in a bar and wakes up and the "companions are gone". He broke a lamp that cost 100,000 yen! Translation: Taken to a hostess club where they have expensive stuff.

3) Her son had been warned about Japanese gang members dressing up like the police? Translation: Watching too much anime or bad TV.

4) Refused to show these policemen his passport. No translation needed here as this is the main reason why he is still in jail. You need to cooperate with the police. Plus when they take him to get is Passport then he starts to fight them off and resist! What was he thinking? Ohh, I forgot, he is from Northern California. Maybe the police are softer up there but down in LA, you know the deal or your ass will get shot and then ask questions later. Let this kid study in the cell until May. That will be his 1 year study aboard program he will never forget.

Of course he does not want to get arrested since this was a formal investigation. I appreciate he competed in two Olympic games and has been a strong leader for many years but it is time to step down and let someone else take over. Remember Juan Antonio Samaranch? He started out great but in the last 10 years, there was so much corruption with the Olympics under his rule it was pathetic. His nickname was Samarsex. Crazy wild parties they would have trying to lure the Olympics to different cities and now no city wants to host the Olympics because of the cost involved. That is why the named Paris and Los Angeles at the same time for 2024 and 2028 because there were so few cities willing to host.

This all started about 4 years ago when Halloween was on a Friday. Now, unfortunately, the fun of Halloween is gone and people are coming just to make trouble. However, next year, they have already said that there will be no more Halloween in the streets. So yes as "Expat" said, Thanks, you have made it more difficult to have a good time in Shibuya.

Posted in: 50 dead, 53 wounded in Florida nightclub shooting See in context

First of all, my sincere condolences go out to the families and friends of all people to lost their lives during this shooting. However, they say this is the largest terrorist attack ever in the US. Can we go back in History for minute.... I am sure when the founding fathers were taking away the land from the natives, they slaughtered and killed way more people and they would have be considered terrorist from the natives Point of View. Also how many slaves were killed by the "masters" and slave traders not but 300 or 400 years ago. Now about the Guns, the fact is without a repeal or an amendment to the Bill of Rights, the guns will never be outlawed: "Amendment II A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." This is what it always comes back to. Now regulations on sales and registration could be implemented but until each state passes the same regulations or law, you just need to go to another state and buy any gun you want. And since here in Japan, there are no guns, you must know that the blackmarket in the US has many guns and even better than the police guns so it is very easy to get any kind of gun if you really want one.
