Posted in: Visiting a shrine to pray is different from being religious. It has nothing to do with religion. Most Japanese, including me, don’t think about whether we’re religious or not. See in context

Hi! How does one pray in Shinto if they are not at a shrine? Is the only time one can pray in Shinto is if they are at a shrine? Can they pray anywhere, like when walking on a busy street, or riding in a train, or anywhere?

Thanks!
