ronaldk. I agree totally with your comments. We go to work for 1 reason and 1 reason only ie to get cash so that we can live our lives. Why kill ourselves for the rich and elite who care about as much for their little employees as dogs' business on the pavement.

The yearly Kuril islands farce time. These islands are Russian and will remain so for all time but we have to have this charade played out every year for internal japanese political reasons.

It's just a very efficient cash generating machine. You get a bunch of pretty looking girls or boys just out of elementary school, put them in short skirts whatever, produce the standard tune for them and the programmed kids will buy their stuff. Hail the cash makers!

japan is basically now an old people's home and can only survive in the future with China's say so. These demonstrators had better go home and start learning Mandarin and Cantonese.

Posted in: Where has the wonder of innovation gone? See in context

The invention that will truly impress me is the time machine. When will this come?? Or as some reports suggest, at Area51, they already have a working time machine. Now this really will change everything. Not least, the end of all forms of gambling!

Posted in: Many will be left behind when job market picks up See in context

I think that many people will be left/are being left with just 2 choices, crime or suicide. What a wonderful world. A few rich elite and the rest of us are just worrying everyday. What's the point in it all?? A hundred years from now, none of us will be here anyway. If things go wrong for me I'll just take pills and leave this planet.

Want to vote? Become a citizen

ha ha ha Who the hell, would want to take japanese citizenship?? We are just talking about local voting here. Sooner or later, PRs will get the local vote here and then the PRs who are against don't have to exercise their vote. So we are all happy.

Posted in: Japan weighs up whether to give foreign residents the vote See in context

PRs should get the local vote. They can have a say on issues such as rubbish collection and street lighting etc. How subversive is that! Otherwise why care about your locality if you have no say?
