strong Democrat President with backbone that would stand up to our adversaries.

and what Republican POTUS has stood up to adversaries that hasnt left a larger mess than what was there in the first place, costing many $Trillions and thousands of American lives in the process

Yeah, yawn....I believe him and his intel over any of the media outlets that have a vested interest in trying to through a monkey wrench in this standoff.

oh OK so now we believe government intel, CIA, NSA etc. seems like selective belief when it suits Trumsters. Many believed Powells & Bushs intel on Iraq, until well they didnt. fool me once fool me twice, you know how it goes.

it doesn’t matter what the world likes or doesn’t like

it does if AMerica wants its allies support to go to war.

President is corrupt, I got a list of Democrat corruption that will make your head spin....like a record.

well if were doing comparisons then the Trump corruption CD spins way faster than any record.

Shoot, I know that’s right!

oh pleease, Pompeo is just another Colin Powell, making his case with unconvincing evidence, probably followed a WMD lie or similar from another Republican POTUS , then its off to another $trillion war we go. When was it that a Democrat POTUS sent Americans to die in a war based on a lie!? As well as conspiracy theories many Trumptards suffer from selective amnesia

they should be praised and rewarded if possible for their contribution to the environment.

yes they should, I wonder if they get a discount on their city rates for all the work they put in, you know because after all the local government would save a bundle on not having to hire anybody to sort it. Being Japan I wouldn't hold my breath, one of many laws mandated to pass the cost of labour onto the average Taro.

the point is, everyone is allowed to make comments

Trump can make comments all he wants, the FACT remains the homocide rate is UK is more than 4 times lower than the US 1.2/100000 compared to the US 5.3/100000. only a stone cold loser would state the opposite

Posted in: Penalty increased for pilots who fly after drinking alcohol See in context

Increasing penalties will not solve the problem.

actually it does, countries like Australia NZ UK which have strict DUI laws have seen a dramatic drop in rd accidents and deaths as a result. Pilots are intelligent individuals, if they dont seek help for their drinking problems then they're risking their careers and freedom, zero tolerance and therapy is the only way to fix this problem.

They took fingerprints and DNA for a lost dog poster?? Remind me not to even breathe on the pole outside my home.

every foreigner that has gone through immigration now knows that your fingerprints are now in the J government database. So if you lose a dog and want to put up some posters just remember to wear gloves. just shows how far the government will go using police resources to track down a "poster ninja"

What's fabricated is both the moral outrage

yes it is an outrage that a sitting POTUS would accept foreign information / advice over his own countres intelligence and it is also a nation security issue.

yeah right go tell that to Canada and Hong Kong. They would...

Posted in: Proxy company advises Nissan shareholders to vote against Saikawa See in context

$USD 100 millions or so unreported remuneration is not flimsy, that's the point of it all isn't it?

well if that eveidence you seem to think is rock solid then why the need to keep Ghosn imprisoned for 2 month and force a confession from him. If the prosecutors had the smoking gun so many people seem to think they have then a confession owuldnt be nessasary, present that evidence to a judge/jury and a conviction would be assured. I personally couldnt care less if Ghosn is guily or not Im just angry at the corrupt immoral way the Japanese legal system goes about abtaining it. Lets not forget this same system affects all peeple in Japan and the number of wrongfully convicted based on a forced confession is proof of that.

Japan inc. does not do global, has never done so, and won't started now.

China does global very well and that is why it is leaving Japan in the dust and Japan is stuck in the past

Posted in: Proxy company advises Nissan shareholders to vote against Saikawa See in context

I am not defending Saikawa, I am saying he is such an enigma, the urge to oust him when reform is underway carries huge risks.

they kicked Ghosn out with what seems flimsy evidence and Nissan sales plummeted because of this. If Nissan is set on a purge then it makes sense to purge those associated with the corporate coup also, that would be the real reform Nissan needs.

I don't get what the hell is the problem with making women use high hills as dress code. Its just cloathing.

you haven't been reading, many women suffer from wearing them, especially women who have to walf al;ot for their jobs. anybody thinks that forcing women to wear a piece of clothing that causes her pain is just plain selfish and chauvinistic, why cant women wear similar shoes without the heels

Posted in: Trump threatens huge new tariffs on China if Xi doesn't meet with him See in context

Again, have no illusions - China needs us more than we need them.

thats what people fail to understand , Chinese exports account for about 20% of its GDP so about 80% of its GDP is domestic . Of the 20% exports about 20% are shipped to the US, so Chinese exports to the US account for about 4% of its entire GDP. Yes while it may hurt the Chinese economy it certainly isnt the death blow that Trump and his minions seem to think it is. The Chinese domestic market is 4 times larger than its exports and growing fast, itll take a moron who wants to be shut off from that .

Just imagine what this country could have accomplished if the entire government would have been behind Trump from the beginning of his presidency.

same could be said of Obama, imagine if the republicans were on board with Obama imagine what America could have accomplished then.

There needs to be swingeing political/economic tariffs and sanctions taken out against the Chinese Government

goodluck with that and getting the rest of the world to agree. Most sane nations dont want to be shut out of the Chinese economy

What a powerful move. He’s calling Xi. The balls in Xie’s court.

yes it is he may just start selling off US debt now, weel see how the US economy fairs when that starts to happen. Trump is playing a very dangerous game

and if it doesnt work itll "surely to be changed or denied" as thats how Trumpsters roll

US always wins.

lol yeah thats a good one , like all the wars theyve won in the last 60yrs.

China will pass the US in economic size with or without America, every country in the world would have to stop trading with China for it not too happen and majority wont because they dont wont to be shut out of the huge Chinese market.

Posted in: Renault, Nissan spar over governance reforms as strains worsen See in context

There are still some commentators who do not understand that Renault OWNS 45%

yes it is laughable isnt it, it like Saikawa saying yes we know you saved us from oblivion and you turned us around in a profitable company onec again, but we wont full control back now. LOL sorry thats not how business works. Renault now own 43% of Nissan and unless they can make a very substantial offer to buy back a large portion of those shares then they will always have a large influence over how Nissan is run, if Japanese management doesnt like it then they can always quit

Posted in: Japan, U.S. remain apart on currency devaluation provision See in context

Japan should never agree on any currency deals unless the US and other G8 countries agree on the same deal. ironically the Plaza accord of the 80s effective forced Japan to manipulate its currency by appreciating its currency to make the the US$ weaker and US manufacturers more competitive. while quantive easing is still ongoing in Japan its goal is to increase inflation. If Japan is forced to stop this then the US and every other G8 country should be forced to stop it also and not have the option to use it in the future. the hypocrisy of the US rises again.
