There is no torturing devices in prison.

keeping somebody in prison whohasnt been found guilty of anything yet, interrogating him hrs everyday until they get a confession, maybe you should try it after a couple months see if you think its a type of mental torture or not.

it is a constitutional right to be able to form militias in order to defend the security of the state.

yes its called the AMerican military, and this would apply if America is getting invaded by armed foreign forces, but AMerica isnt, these armed vigilantes are detaining unarmed civillians they neither have the law or the position to allow them to do that. If they do want to detain people then theyre more than welcome to apply to join the border police etc once they receive their training and pass theyll be given the position and authority to do just what they desire.

At the same time, the people along the border that are doing this feel the Democrats are holding them hostage and telling them to shut up and accept these illegals.

well thats going off on a tangent, so its perfectly OK for Americans to illegally detain Mexicans because they dont like what Democrats tell them. Does Not change the fact they're breaking US laws since they have no authority to detain people. Recalcitrant vigilantes and the second amendment doesn't supersede US laws

So, nope, not until they design fully automated cars that can also do that...

vast majority of the taxi industry is normal everyday users, yes there will be demands in other areas but the Japan taxi industry is about ready for a real big shakeup and its about time, I highly doubt they have the political clout to stop Toyota and Softbank

Obama said, you can keep your doctor, ha!

well I think Obama did pretty well considering we didnt hold the house or senate at any one point in time. Trumps starting to understand its not as easy as he bragged about. when Trumps gone the next POTUS can start wiping away the damaging legacy hes done to AMerica and the world.

Yes, because they all bent over. Trump did not, will not.

then nothing will change, NK nuke capability wont suddenly go backwards, it may slow but eventually they'll get what they need to make long range missiles, either from China Russia etc. Not that Im saying thats a good thing but history has previously shown nothing short of all out war will stop NK ambitions so with that in mind it seems theres nothing else left to do but negotiate. Kim only has to wait until Trump's gone then he can negotiate with somebody who actually knows what they're doing. A Trump promise is about worth as much as the piece of paper Trump negotiates on.

Posted in: Pompeo, in talks with Japan, says he's still in charge on N Korea See in context

At any rate, Trump has done no worse than Clinton, Bush and Obama. If you want better results, don’t expect them from any of the Democrats seeking the WH.

and none of them claimed that they'd fix the NK problem and they were any better than the previous POTUS, unlike Trump, shouldnt make BS promises you cant keep or worse still voting for a man believe his promises were even legitimate.

Posted in: Pompeo, in talks with Japan, says he's still in charge on N Korea See in context

It took a Republican, albeit an unorthodox one, to put an end to the failed policies of previous administrations

and what has Trump achieved, two failed sumits, NK still has its nukes, rebuilding its testing sites. sanctions haven't done anything to limit NK nuclear capacity. Whats America going to do next, a military attack, do you really think they can take out 16000 artillery batteries before they lay waste to Seoul. Does Trump and his minions really think 100,000s of Korean lives are worth sacrificing for him to achieve his goals. If you answer yes to that then your just as deluded as Trump. NK will never surrender its nukes on an American promise, they want concrete concessions, and who can blame them.

Posted in: Democrats make legal bid for all Russia probe evidence; Trump poll numbers drop See in context

No the average of all polls is not 37 percent.

maybe one poll showed that but even the link you shown is all major polls and Trump approval has never been in positive territory since become POTUS, even when you factor in a 3% error he still isnt even in positive territory. since the midterms demolition of the house by the democrats the polls are about the same. 2020 comes around majority of senate seats up for grabs are republican, history shows its much harder to retain seats than lose them. The whole point is the AMerican people now undertsand who Trump really is and the more people that vote the less chance for a republican victory, if I was a betting man I wouldnt be putting my money on a republican victory.

might be good idea that Trump send all those mexicans to sanctury cities, they can then all vote against Trump. since Trump has never proven that mexican illegally voted in 2016. LOL

Poll of 1004 people “online”. Yeah that’s credible.

no poll that takes an avergage of all major polls.

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/trump-approval-ratings/

even Fox news has Trump at 51% disapproval rating , yet an A grade how does that work lol

smart move by Uber, lets see the taxi industry try and stop them entering the Japanese market now with Toyota & Softbank backing them. come to think of it they wont even need human drivers in another 5~10 yrs

I think that this goes with Japanese society as a whole, not just new recruits.

just have to look at the cars in your local parking lot, vast majority are bland , white black brown grey, very few blue red yellow. only shades and colors that dont stick out. Ive even seen a guy driving a Ferrari and it was grey! LOL

how is it childish, Trump is proven to continually lie, make up false facts to suit his reality. So since you clearly stated you dont trust liars or politicians then it would be fair to say you dont trust Trump!?

It is more difficult to control oneself than control others. That is the pitfall many heroes are likely to fall in.

oh like all the heros of Toshiba, Olympus, Takata,, KYB, IHI, Kobe Steel, various Japanese banks government officials. they clearly couldnt control themselves, how many where put into detention , confessions forced or even spent time in prison for their crimes. Justice in Japan is hypocritical at best

it's not surprising that this is the pathetic commentary that comes up here.

if you dont like it dont read it, there's no need butthurt over it . Many on here aren't Democrats or even American they just know stupid when they hear it. Anybody who believed Trump had NK all Kim all under control is blinded by their devotion for a known conman. Two sumits , numerous celebratory rounds of golf and chocolate cake and still nothing.

yep Japan better wish there isnt a natural disaster during a major vacation, the injured will literally be dying waiting to be treated, all because some moron thinks its a good idea for everybody to take holidays at the same time

a strong Muslim woman of color.

perfect enemy of Trumpolites

Omar’s own hateful words are inciting people. Nothing about her gender or religion at all until she and her supporters try to say that’s why people are oppressing her or whatever.

your joking right!? Trump was degrading women and muslims long before Omar was even elected to government. why do you think she was elected along with a record number of women during the midterms, pure coincidence! LOL

It is true. It is awesome country. You are living here right?

yes Japan has its good points but being awesome country is debatable.

Japan really only attract people of poorer asian countries because it helps lift them out of poverty. Other 1st world countries not so much becuase the salaries and lifestyle tend to be better than what Japan has to offer.

Ive stated many times Japan is a great place to live if you can get out the suffocating stressful large cities, fine if your single, not good if youve got kids

so why would she say some people did something

its pretty obvious she stating "some" as in minority "people" referring to the terrorist. so anybody with half a brain can clearly understand she's stating that a minority of bad Saudi terrorist killed 1000s on 911 and now all muslims are targeted because of this. Trump just proved her point by attacking her directly inciting hatred and death threat from his followers

Posted in: Ghosn's wife back in Japan for questioning See in context

It's not illegal detention. Japanese law, however flawed, allows for it.

very few no democratic countries apply indefinite detention unless its for the most serious of crimes like terrorism and the people involved are a threat to public safety. Ghosn is none of those yet they keep him in detention to force a confession, its a type of phsyological torture which has shown on a number of occasions to make people admit guilt to crimes they didnt comit. Just prey none of those on here have family members fall prey to this draconian system, im sure their faith in this legal system will change dramatically. like ive stated many times if Ghosn is guilty then let the prosecutors show their evidence in court and if its shown with undeniable proof hes guilty then he can rot in prison for all I care. This flawed system clearly puts too much power in the prosecutors hands which opens them up to corruption, proven a number of times in the past and Im sure more will be exposed in the future.

Japan would now be the richest and most dominant nation on earth. Let us hope these times return!

Japan was and will never be the richest or most dominant nation on earth, the 80s had one contributing factor that was absent compared to today, and that is China. To surpass China or America in the 21st century would be an economic impossibility, Japan has neither the resources or people to do it.
