This is the peak of journalism.

A whole propaganda piece based on 4 random unverifiable people with generic names.

Posted in: What awaits 2 Americans accused of helping Ghosn flee Japan? See in context

those who harbour and enable criminals to escape persecution can rot in a cell

Whatever you think about Ghosn's case is irrelevant when foreigners try to interfere in Japanese legal system.

Those Americans should be charged with full fury of law

I am all for him as long as he is not a bootlicker like Abe.

Japan is a Eastern country which has lot to gain economically and politically by alligning with Eastern Allies,i.e China.

Japan needs to do away with US Military bases ASAP

With 4 decades of deflation/stagnation Japanese people have found no place to park their money where it can grow.

Interest rates have been below 2 throughout lifetime of most people.

Crypto currency rush will not be preemptive just like last time.

Its like a slow grind for months before some big event happens (or randomly) and people start flocking the crypto currency exchanges.

Then there is the FOMO mentality which pushes things up exponentially.

Its like all other investments, buy when no one is. Sell when everyone is buying.

So again, should the USA just ignore HK and let China take their freedom with this new law, or should the USA get involved?

So I guess most liberals are simply not answering the question so that they can criticize Trump if he does punish China or criticize him if he doesnt. same as anything else.

Look out US partisan glases for a while man.

Let me put this in context.

There are 100 people on a island(called China)

One of them(HK) studied a different culture for a while and is protesting that this is the culture perfect for the island.

99 doesn't like this idea.

Now there is another island on the other part of world who likes this one guys idea of change. 33 people on that island are so arrogent that they think they are the God calling shots for what should happen.

Its ridiculous, get a hold of yourself and leave the people of China alone.

The Hongkong protesters have shown violence and disrespect for law that no sovereign country can pe patient with.

They should go to the US and try to lynch random people and blockade international airports, let's see how they like bullets from the country of human rights they worship, they'll have nostalgia for tear gas and water cannons

you mean the way US has been ignoring the Yamen crisis or Chilean protests.

I would say yes ignore them.

Consistency is better than selective actions.

Most people don't want to get involved with what is China's internal matter. Or only give meaningless statements.

Which I think is sensible.

What are we even protesting for

7 million HK citizens vision of democracy for 27 more year.

But putting sanctions and punishing 1400 million Chinese.

Give me a break.

Most of the world sees what it is :

Trumps election campaign and in wider view US and its self-serving ambitions for maintaining global hegemony.

@bass4funk

I vehemently disagree

I mean all US IS doing is breaking ties and Allies for last 3 years.

One is moving inwards being unreasonable.

Other is venturing out being productive and reasonable.

Whats the long game here anyway?

Better to side with a rising power in the neighborhood which has similar roots to you.

Than a falling Regime which is in tantrumps and has shown a distinctive reason for distrust and unreliability

In the meantime, Kato said Japan has decided to contribute around $270 million in total to international bodies

Now China pledged $2 billion to WHOs $6 billion budget.

America withdrew its funding, Japan's funding is atmost $270 million.

Where do you think WHOs bias be?

Put some weight on your suggestions to be taken seriously.

Money where your mouth is.

Japans economy and Japanese yens valuation has been widely known in finance industry to cliff off after Olympics anyway.

Ageing population

Dept to GDP ratio being at 250%

Wth trillions in dept

Car and electronics exports already being taken over by China and Korea

Missing on all the innovations in IT for last 3 decades

Unsustainable and almost close to zero interest rates

Its long time due

Corona virus and loss in tourism may be the straw that breaks the camels back

Meanwhile USD and Euro and their respective economics are facing their own unique challenges.

Not long before governments will give up the concept of having foreign currency as reserve currency and adopt to gold or cryptocurrency instead.
