@PTownsend"I know Russia and Trump want to disparage him personally."

Because real patriots despise traitors and never allow them to get power in politics. Otherwise it may cause catastrophic consequences.

'Senator John McCain, the Republican chairman of the committee, said he “could not be happier” about Mattis’ nomination. He warned sternly against optimism about engaging with Putin.

“Putin wants to be our enemy. He needs us as his enemy. He will never be our partner,” McCain exclaimed.'

McCain's complex of inferiority has no limits. He betrayed his fellow servicemen in Vietnam and became an informer for Vietnamese and Soviet military instructors. Now this 'Communist Song Bird' is trying to look out as a real patriot of the USA.

@James Burke "I'm curious as to why people love Obama so much for other than the fact that he was half black.

He did a lot of damage to the American ecomomy and healthcare system, got the country involved in several conflicts in the middle east and brought huge racial divisions back into the picture that haven't been seen since the 1960's"

@Miyam_Musashi"Goodbye - and don't let the door hit you on the way out."

In short, good riddance !

They believe in fairy tales of American folks being taken by Alien Visitors from Flying Saucers without ANY proof. LOL.

Yes, shameless and rather stupid attempts of American Dems and Libs to convince the rest of the World that Donald Trump is 'the Manchurian Candidate".

@Burning Bush "The AP is clearly using debased and vague language."

It's a common practice of western media. When they say 'Russia' instead of 'Russian government' or 'Russian politicians' they force people to think that all Russians are foes of Americans.

"If you're an English speaker and you cannot distinguish "entities in Russia" and the Russian government, then Mr. Trump is right in calling you a fool."

True.

Don Trump is a Real American. The true Manchurian Candidate is Barack Hussein Obama. In particular, he openly supported so-called "vetted rebels" in Syria, various trash originated from Al Qaeda.

You are right. His Nobel Prize for Peace is a bad joke.

True. He is both arrogant and plain stupid. The Art of Diplomacy is far beyond his mind.

@Octagon" After WWII, Soviet has same old habit for land grabbing for expansion of empire. Only US of A can block Russia unbridled expansion on that earth.

Late Ronald Regan called Soviet as evil empire. Successive incoming US presidents showed respect for outgoing Presidents. Trump has show middle finger to not only Obama but also Late Regan and GOP. It is the great embrassment for GOP elders who elected someone who has been fondly admiring Putin."

"Evil Empire.....expansion on that Earth" Perfect ! Reading stuff like this one, everybody could realize how narrow-minded, brainwashed if not plain stupid some American folks are. LOL.

Not "normal practice" for civilized country but a foolish action. Pure idiocy, so to speak.

@plasticmonkey "Al Qaeda was born from the stupidity of Soviet brutality in Afghanistan, just as ISIS resulted from Cheney's moronic invasion of Iraq".

A clear example of western-style ignorance. Al Qaeda was born from CIA efforts to grow rebells in Afganistan. In particular, CIA had created Osama who later started his own game and turned weapon against his masters.

"BTW the weakening of ISIS has almost nothing to do with Russia."

The destruction of ISIS is a direct result of Russian military operations in Syria.
