@zurcronium - "MSNBC does not manipulate news like Fox does"?? You've got to be kidding me. Most Americans know that MSNBC is a promotional arm of the DNC and the Obama administration. Why do you think General Electric Co. President Jeffrey Immelt was recently appointed to head the White House "Council on Jobs and Competitiveness"? A little payback for MSNBC (owned by GE) towing the party line? "Or that Obama is a muslim. Its crazy."??? There's nothing "crazy" about assuming Obama is Muslim. His religion was listed as "Islam" in his Indonesian school records. And the way he panders to Muslims at every turn (search "platitudes and naivete" in Google and read Robert Spencer's article) it's clear that he has some strange affinity for Islam while claiming to be Christian. Really strange. But, of course, it's hard to find out who the man is when he has sealed virtually every record on his history (he forgot about the Indonesian school record apparently!) and all we have to go on are "Dreams of My Father" (penned by William Ayers) and "The Audacity of Hope" - two books that contain about as much fact as Harry Potter. Back to Palin - the left hate her because they fear her and the fact that she could kick Obama out of the White House in 2012.

@RoninGaijin - There's a difference between putting cross hairs on a district on a map (which is what appeared on Palin's site) and putting cross hairs on a person's face. Get your facts straight. Do you see how a little, convenient manipulation of the facts can be used to make Palin seem more guilty than she is?

Posted in: Obama, at Arizona memorial service, says polarized nation needs healing See in context

I don't know how many of you watched this "memorial" but as Rush Limbaugh put it best, it was Obama the egotist putting the "ME" in "Memorial." This event, held in the basketball arena at the U of A, was filled for the most part with college students making all kinds of noise with the whistling, cheering and hooping and hollering. It was absurd and nothing more than the beginning of Obama's 2012 reelection campaign. Frankly, it made me sick to see this administration use this horrific event for political purposes. If I was a relative of a victim, I would have been angry as h**l and would have given them an earful. How dare they use the death of an innocent person to push their agenda. There was no dignity, no respect for the deceased. And I have to add that the reading from the Bible by Eric Holder and one other person, I think it was Napolitano, was sickening. Couldn't they have invited a priest, pastor or rabbi to do that?

Civilized people are going to have to rise up and resist this scourge called Islam before it's too late. Enough PC nonsense and tip-toeing around the subject. Islam is a conquering political machine that has world domination as its goal. There's no debating it. I just hope the Japanese doesn't start giving in to Muslim demands like they are doing in the U.S. I encourage all people concerned about this issue to follow two websites; Jihadwatch and atlasshrugs.

To equate this with the civil rights movement whose goal to treat blacks fairly is dangerous territory. Blacks are born black and didn't choose their color. Homosexuals choose to act the way they do and piss alot of people off as they provocatively shove their "lifestyle" in the face of the rest of society. Keep your sexual perversions to yourselves. What is unnatural is unnatural. Can't you learn from the fact that two men together or two women together can't procreate and make another human being?

Posted in: Former U.S. POWs want Japanese companies to apologize See in context

By the way, I have had Japanese apologize to me, so I think this notion that Japanese never apologize to foreigners is a bunch of bunk. I think that Japanese have the capacity to admit they were wrong and ask for forgiveness of a foreigner. I clearly remember an incident in Japan several years where I was belittled on the phone by a Japanese man who said to me "where are you from? Your Japanese is pretty crappy. Are you from Bangladesh or something... ha ha ha." Little did he know I was the Japan GM for the company where I worked. One call to his boss and I had a crying, blubbering 40-year old man with chocolates showing up at my office 30 minutes later. He was petrified that he was going to get axed. I gently told him that humans need to treat other humans as they would wish to be treated and sent him back, following up with a phone call to his boss saying I was satisfied with his apology.

I don't know how many times I have heard former POWs or former "comfort women" from Korea demand apologies, only to send up saying "you weren't sincere" or "that apology was insufficient". I think the people who walk around harboring all this hatred in their hearts are the ones with the issue here. Forgive and move on. This kind of stuff is going on the U.S. recently with demands for reparations from the black community. So, if I am a great great grandson of a former slave owner, is it my responsibility to apologize for what an ancestor did 125 years ago? When does this end?

SushiSake

You say Bush's spending was excessive?!?! Take a look at what this fool of a president called Obama has done in less than two years! Basically spend America into oblivion! And for your information, the free market didn't "crash" under Bush. There was a downturn but by no means a "crash". Only when the puppet Obama - controlled by the Socialist evil man George Soros - started spending like a drunken sailor and implementing health care reform that caused tremendous uncertainty among companies that stopped hiring - that's when things started to get really bad.

The T-shirts with Bush's mug and the words "Miss Me Yet?" are currently the hottest selling tourism item on Martha's Vineyard, for God's sake.

And it wasn't lax regulation that caused the financial troubles. It was the "free money" programs for people who shouldn't be owning homes in the first place... just more "economic justice" BS from the Dems.

Conservatives are going to take back both houses of Congress in November, neutering Obama, and putting America back on track towards economic growth.

And 2012 will see a conservative victory in the Presidential election.

You're going to be crying big time, come November, SushiSake. Boo hoo hoo.

"Just be ready for a right royal thumping in November. :-)" Hey sushisake3 - are you serious?? You are clearly demented or you are living on some other planet. There is going to be a royal a$# whipping in November and the Democrats are going to be on the wrong end of it, and you know it. I can't wait. Obama will be powerless and we will start repealing the health care nonsense and as much other damage Obama has inflicted on America. America will by a much nicer place when this joker is gone.

What makes opposition to this government somehow "racist"? Could someone explain that one to me? How pathetic these people are who call any criticism of the Obama administration "racist". How is that racist? So if a black person opposes the takeover of health care by this administration, is he/she a racist? I guess you could say yes, because they are opposing Obama's white side. Sounds pretty stupid, doesn't it? That sounds about as stupid as saying a non-black person must have prejudices against blacks if they revolt against the socialistic policies of our current president. Pitiful.

HesKun,

Whether you believe there is an Al Qaeda or not doesn't matter. The fact is that there are hundreds of thousands, if not millions of Muslims who will kill you at the drop of a hat if you fail to submit to their ideology. Be sure of that.

Of course the "war on terror" is going to be perceived as a "war on Islam". When the majority of terrorism in our world today is of the Muslim flavor, it's only natural that it will look like a war against Islam. If Muslims don't like that, then why don't you weed out those rotten ones among you and tell them to cut it out?!?!?!

This so-called "health care bill" is a giant leap backward for American citizens and a giant advancement for big government that intrudes more and more into the lives of too many people.

"Health Care" is no more a right than car care or home care.

Take care of yourselves people! Eat right, get your rear off the couch once in a while and stop expecting others to take care of you!

"Health care" is no more a right than car care, lawn care or home care. What on earth makes it a right? NOTHING is a right. How about if people start taking responsibility for their health by eating the right foods in the right portions and doing a little exercise once in a while. If this bill passes, it is going to make America's health care system even worse. And why should I, a person who takes care of his health proactively, subsidize the health care of some lazy fatso who eats nothing but fast food, never exercises and expects handouts. No thanks... I'll pass. It's high time people start looking after themselves. But here we go again with the Democrats promising goodies for future votes.

Global warming caused by humans is a hoax.

Weather goes in cycles and always has.

I'm not saying we don't need to be irresponsible when it comes to pollution but what I am saying is that we shouldn't buy this line that Co2 emissions are going to ruin the planet and we need governments to fix the problem. Government CAUSES far more problems than it fixes.

This clown of a "president" is so in over his head all, he can do is have people write his speeches and then read them from his tele-prompter in his typical "I am greater than thou" condescending tone. Notice how the cadets at West Point have no passion for this guy - they know when someone has their interests at heart and it surely isn't the man-child Obama. Americans who voted this jerk into office must be kicking themselves now. The presidency has descended to an all-time low.

Posted in: Obama promises to 'finish the job' in Afghanistan See in context

It is quite amusing that someone would even suggest that Obama might "finish the job" when this clown has never had a job of any significance. He's been an embarrassment since day one in the White House. People are quick to criticize Bush for coming off as a little dopey at times, but at least he put his country first... unlike the buffoon in office now. I never thought a man would get elected based purely on his race but it has happened and America is suffering as a result. More damage from this stupid affirmative action nonsense. He not only has no spine, he can't make a difficult decision, and his loyalties are clearly not with America. I'm not saying you have to be pompous but at least stop apologizing and stop appeasing the Muslim terrorists who want to kill all of us. I can't wait for 2012 because he will be GONE!
