Well its bad and all but I don't understand why someone needs to cross the whole world when there are more then enough "save" places so much closer.

It actually does look as if they not only want security but also wealth as mentioned by others ...

Not that its hard to understand but someone who truly flees because they are in danger of beeing killed would be happy everywhere where its safe and wouldn't need to go that far.

Luckily its "only" 82 out of more then one million people who seems to have experienced it so less the 0,01% still sad to hear stuff like this happening but even Japanese are Human and Humans are mostly scum by nature.

The actual number is probably higher, then again sometimes judging from interviews with Japanese Woman they seem to see accidentaly touching their butt as Sexual harrasment as well which could happen a lot in a situation like that especially when you try to push them up on a roof or whatever.

If it doesn't have it already they should add some kind of model route to help with doing the actual pilgrimage.

Posted in: Japan explains 'comfort women' stance in German after statue set up in Berlin See in context

Very stupid that Germany allowed this statue in Berlin :/

This stupid War and the bad things that were done are things of the past and there are Hardly any people still alive from that time and the few that are alive where mostly children ...

It makes sense not to forget that it was bad so that it won't be repeated BUT it doesn't make sense at all to still hold resentments against former "opponents"

omg ...

violence should never be an option still I can actually understand both sides.

In theory it is good that the victim told the perpetrator that he was doing something wrong/bad but then again I'd also get super pissed if someone wouldn't stop pestering me at all.

It sounds like that guy followed him, if he wasn't okay with it he could have either talked to an official employee who has authority at the train station or just walk away, its not like train stations in Japan are so super small ...

Posted in: Japan's September job availability lowest in nearly 7 years See in context

Isn't this actually good ?

like this you could have 0 jobless (in theory) and most companies will find an employee ...

if you had to many jobless it would be bad as well as if companies wouldn't find employees because there aren't any.

Now the only problem that remains (worldwide problem) is that companys prefer not to hire anybody instead of taking in someone who might not be good enough and train him/her to be good enough :/

wtf Suga ?

I can understand that China is rather important as most Tourists come from there and they usually spent lots of money :/

Maybe Japan should hand out leaflets in Chinese to every Chinese tourist about how to properly behave in Japan ... not that I am doing everything perfect (guess I do lots of wrong things too but at least I try my best)

Posted in: Man arrested for abusing common-law wife’s daughter See in context

well from the info they give in that article it does sound like he overdid it BUT depening on what happened its not that unusual for a Parent to hit a child after the Child did something bad oO?

Withouth proper informations this is nothing someone can "decide" from afar.

My father hit me a few times as well when I was little and most of the times because I did something wrong like running over the street even though the Trafic light was red ... he was super shocked and scared that something could have happened to me that he slapped me and not very genlte ... or one time when I ran away because I was angry.

"draging her along" doesn't sound resonable but as noone can verify what exactly happened ... and "If" this is the first and only bruise she ever got within those 2 years I doubt that he is a ruthless barbaric child abuser oO

So you could actually be pretty sure that there are WAY more people infected as the official numbers state ... but as long as people don't die in masses it shouldn't be that much of a problem

Posted in: Tokyo reports 389 more cases of coronavirus See in context

There are Currently at least 5 different studies from around the world which I know of an ALL of them say that actuall numbers were probably ~4 - 50 times higher then officially known !

2 of them from Germany one saying x4 (kupferzell) made by the RKI and one from Heinzberg made by a Virologist who is against most Corona measures who found out that x15-20 times from the official numbers should be correkt.

1 from London saying 10 times the ammount would be correct (from 300k to 3.4 million)

1 from Ischgl saying something about 50 times the ammount if I understood correct or was it 50% of all ppl living there ? sorry would need to look it up again to verify but you should check it up yourself anyways to make sure ;)

and last one I know of was made in Italy, Bergamo where they said that 50% of the population was infected as well even though they thought it was much less.

I am not a big fan of opening the borders.

I always said, keep the borders close and dont let imported Corona cases come into Japan.

The Borders should have never been closed ... its not like that helped at all -.-V

You are saying pretty much the same as most Countrys pointing fingers, this is a stupid Virus, it won't just magically stop at a countries boarder.

Of course an Island state like Japan has better chances then most other countries to somehow close themselfes off from the rest of the world but as you still NEED to trade as no country is 100% self sustaining (including things you don't need to survive but which still are asked for).

Currently Germany is pointing their finger at people coming back from hollidays which are possible within Europe again already even though statistically more people get infected inside Germany then outside while at their hollidays. Still everyone need an "enemy" and it is easier to say that the others are at fault

doggarToday 01:10 pm JST

Take a look at the yasukuni website someday (if you can read Japanese). The perspective is that Japan was a victim in ww2 and not responsible for the war. Basically the same political views as our right wing friends.

My Japanese isn't good enough for this but at the Shrine itselvese there are actually translated texts saying something different ... well they don't say that the war was their fault but the main thing is that they are "praying" for ALL the people who have fallen and by far not only their own.

Very good descission !

The whole world pretends that there is nothing except Covid19 anymore.

The aftereffects of all useless attempts to stop the Virus will hurt humanity as a whole much more and much longer then Corona would have done.

Just look how many people die every day because of others stuff ... so much more .... covid19 is only an incredibly small fraction and still everyon is fixated on that one thing while in Antarctica it is 30+ degree and all the Ice is Melting and so on :/

Posted in: Misinformation on the virus proving highly contagious See in context

Sorry math early in the morning ... for my example its not less then 1 but a litlte bit less then 2 more then average a day.

The Whole USA has ~7000 deads a day in Average ... okay 150.000 since January are still very much, if not mistaken about 700 or 10% extra a day ... you would Probably notice that but still it is only a very minor fraction of the whole population which is about 330.000.000

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Posted in: Misinformation on the virus proving highly contagious See in context

Well I guess most peopple understand that it is not "harmless" BUT most media try to make it look much worse then it actually is, especially comparted to a lot of others things people die from.

In a Country like Japan with its 120.000.000 people the average number of people that die EACH DAY ! is ~ 3000 ! compare that to 300 people that died that actually had Covid19 ( not even 100% that this is the reason they died ) since January ... that is less then 1 person extra a day ... hardly noticable at all ...

Okay other Countries like the US got hit worse and I can accept that wearing a Mask and beeing more Distant is actually one Reason why Japan got less deads but still people should be carefull about getting to much Panik.

In Afrika there are 2.000.000 Kids every year that die because they can't get enough food or clear water but noone cares and noone makes a fuss as they do because of 666.000 people that died Worldwide while having Covid19 (again not proven that this was the reason all of them died)

Still hope they will let tourists in soon again

Corona is everywhere in the World so who cares if you get ill in Japan or anywhere else ... I'd like to be able to do pretty much whatever I like to do again withouth any restrictions.

People that are especially endangered or just scared could always protect themselves as good as they can like workig from home and doing their shopping online .. I get all my food and drinks sent as I don't want to wear a mask as long as I am not ill .... should definietly be possible for most people at least in the first world countries.

Posted in: Tokyo coronavirus cases hit record daily high of 224; 80% in their 20s, 30s See in context

As long as most of them hardly feel sick or anything who cares ?

I don't see the Problem, as the Article states, most of these people are very young and worldwide there is a super small ammount of young people that actually died because of Corona.

They should try to protect the Seniors as good as possible and let everyone else do whatever they want.

I doubt that the numbers Worldwide are accurate anyways, there are many studies that "prove" that there are way more infected then known. There was one in Germany, Heinzberg that assumed about 15% more then known then there was one in Austria, Ischgl where they said that about 42% of all the people in town had Antibodies ! so at least 42 were infected, probably more as some other studies show that not everyone who was infected has intibodies plus some "loose" them after a short while again.

Then there was an American one, made on a WarShip where they also had numbers about 30-40% and just recently there was the newest one (forgot where it was made) that had numbers around 50%

So even if Tokyo only has 10-20% of the population infected withouth knowing it would be more then a Million and hardly anybody died out of the norm. (you know places like tokyo have about 500 people or more dieing every single day due to age or illness)
