...right?

false.

rich or not rich it doesn't matter .. it's your choice. All time. You can have sex being rich or not rich. But having sex comes with risks and duties. If you do it without knowing it, you are neither rich nor poor, you are a reckless person.

Well assuming it's not abuse / rape, what can we say? My darling.. if you can't afford to have a baby it's ok, if you don't have a job it's ok, if you help your elderly it's ok, if you're single / not married / alone it's ok, nobody will blame you for that .. seriously trust me.. but please don't have sex, you don't have to, there is no law that forces you to have sex, you are 36's old and you know that if you have sex you could have a baby, having sex is not a universal right, no obligation, is always your choice remember it, your body your choice, please be smart for you and for our society which will now have to repair for you and the poor soul you gave birth.

There is an argument to be made, however on the other hand once you start with eugenics problem you are on top of another slippery slope in modern countries. (In places like CCP China, that is of course not an issue.)

You're right, it started a while ago but it doesn't seem like an issue for any particular country.

Just tragic. And where is the father? Did he run away to escape his responsibility?

Maybe he was with her, or she was a widow or she divorced him. Who knows?

Anyways 54-17 = 37. Nowadays a lot of doctors go unheard.

@William Bjornson

Honestly .. one of the most beautiful and interesting thoughts I've ever had the opportunity to read. But I'm afraid there aren't enough people today who can share or understand it. And this is a defeat for all of us.

It is true but it says: trying to get her to go to sleep.

So maybe she was close but she was also touching the baby. If so, it depends on "how" she was "trying" to get her to sleep... maybe shaking her? hitting? we don't know.... 4 years to decide what a video contains?

WTH why didn't he buy a fish? They usually swim better.

If you want something who can fly, buy a bird.

If you want something who can walk, buy a dog/cat.

If you want something who can swim, buy a fish.

If you want something who can do all three, buy a duck.

Yeah! Duck rulez!

Even if we're in Japan, I don't think an 11-year-old boy can be so "goofy" to fall off a 10-floor balcony at 10am. Surely a 4-year-old can but an 11-year-old... police must investigate on his "environment".

mhh 11 years ... I don't think it's a fatality, it looks more like suicide. I would investigate at school, the family, among "friends".

Sad story. I hope one day Japanese will learn to ask for help. It's a country where people still feels ashamed for certain situations. A country where too many people criticize everything behind your backs. Japan is a place where feeling part of the "society" is vital and feeling alone and abandoned in this cases is still too easy.

Posted in: 18-year-old girl arrested after body of newborn baby found in toilet at home See in context

How could her family didn't notice all that,?

Family? Which family? Today family is an old-fashioned "institution". Forget it. We are all free to do what we like, be what we want, think what we like, no commitment, no obligation, just fun. Young people have time for sex but don't have time to ask for help and probably THERE IS NO ONE LISTENS TO THEM. We can blame the girl, the boy who just had fun, the father, the mother but this will not change the direction we are going.

I believe local governments need to "tackle" this kind of problem more efficiently. A common fund for funerals, more information for people, maybe on TV. An easy-to-remember phone number. People need to know that there is someone who can help them. Otherwise this sad news will just increase day by day.

Posted in: 17-year-old boy will not be prosecuted over 6-year-old sister’s death See in context

The boy is an adult, the mother is absent, where is the father... bla bla..

Here we have a classic case of burnout of a "weak" person. Who decides he is a "mature" adult? How many grown-up people are there who behave like children? A burnout happens to adults, can happen to a 17-year-old boy who lived in a facility. For me it is just a defeat of this "modern" society, nothing else. A kiss to the little girl anf a kiss to the boy, he needs it.

I'm not used to reading news from countries where I don't live. Anyway I just read it and no... doesn't seem to be anyone in the US interested in women's panties. Well now I have to leave you, dinner is ready, but my wife is asking me where all her panties have gone from the balcony...

Useful when you're late and can't cook without making too much noise because it's too late. Time ago I always kept a couple in the kitchen as plan B. Yes it's better not to use the seasoning packet, but eating one a month you won't die. With my wife we have fun making fresh noodles then freeze it in small portions x2. You can prepare many of the seasoning by yourself, youtube is full of such videos. I don't know if it's cheaper but it's fun and healthy.

Many people think they can change lane instantly as soon as they light their directional light. Obviously without looking at who is behind: a train, a truck, a bus, a tank, 1st Cavalry Division, it doesn't matter...

People on bicycles (especially children) go from sidewalk to crosswalk without stopping... but there is no wall to protect them. Even if I go 40km/h, my car and I don't received the gift from God to stop instantly. In the 80s there was a TVseries called "Automan", well that car has not yet been invented.

So while Japan may rank highly on this one issue, this issues almost never happens. Hardly enough to make Japan an unsafe country.

It doesn't say Japan is a dangerous country, it says Japan is not heaven on earth, it helps to understand why people are so shocked when they read such news. People believe that since here no one goes out of the house shooting everyone so no one can have mental problems or just do similar things. It's amazing how much misinformation and illusion there is about Japanese society and behavior.

Posted in: Woman arrested over drowning of 2-year-old grandson See in context

There are rankings showing that Japan is in the top 10 for child murder reports. This is a strange result, how can one of the "safest" countries in the world do it? As one of the safest countries in the world, the murder of a child weighs heavily. If we assume that Japan is heaven because it is safe, how can we accept it? (and this is the mistake, for me).
