From the moment this plane went missing, I feared it went under the ocean intact like a disaster film I watched as a teenager. Since no debris has been found, this could be a possibility. Wouldn't this be the most amazing miracle if the plane was intact, and airtight, and the people alive? We can still have hope!

If the Olympic committee admits amateur boxing and the like into the Olympics, they can find a way to admit kyokushin karate and other full contact styles. Seriously....if the Olympics is about fitness and being the best of the best, I say they should go for it!!! These athletes are tremendous and their dedication to what they do is awe inspiring!

From everything I have ever read about the beginnings of karate, it was first and foremost, a martial art designed to defend oneself and community against harm. If that is held true, then the above statement in the article that original karate was "no contact" or "point system" is shown as false. It is just possible that after the warring classes were no longer needed, people stopped studying the martial aspect of the art and began playing with it. For example, Kyokushin karate by Mas. Oyama brought back the Budo aspects and the physicallity of the art. So, even today, if you want to see real knockdown fighting art while showing the art form of karate, you will not be disappointed.
