The opposition will always be fragmented, as there are too many minor parties that are cobbled together, without any grass roots support, to make a difference in a national election.

No matter how badly the LDP screws up, they will always have the support of their nation wide network and that is something that will prevent the opposition from making a difference!

"honeymoon" is an interesting way of saying "foregone conclusion".

I completely dispise the LDP but I completely dispise Noda even more for his sell out of his own party when he was PM.

Ishiba better be careful with this because if the LDP does loose seats but still wins his stint as PM might be over before it starts and then we have to deal more than likely with Takaichi who to me is on the same level as Noda.
