No it is not. It is part of Council District 11 in the City of Los Angeles.

Altadena is an unincorporated part of Los Angeles County.

Arson or just wildfires?

Wishing all affected - in particular the brave fire-fighters and first responders- all the best in saving lives and homes.

The footage and pictures coming in show the unbelievable and shocking intensity of the fires.

Arson or just wildfires?

One small fire was arson. Two are thought to have been started by defective or damaged high voltage power lines including video of a small fire beneath a big high voltage line tower at the origin of the Eaton Fire, though Edison is denying their system is responsible. The Palisades Fire appears to have originated close to the site of a small fire extinguished a few days prior near a popular hiking trail. There is some thought an unnoticed smoldering ember from that earlier fire was fanned by the high winds.
