I saw Noel with his High Flying Birds in the winter of 2018 and they were outstanding. Here's hoping they can keep their act together for the entire tour next year.

Ever since they announced the reunion I have been wondering what happened to the other three guys in Oasis. There has not been a single picture with them in it.

The original members are long gone.

I'm assuming Noel will bring his band mates from High-flying Birds to play drums, bass and lead guitar.

I wonder if they'll make it to Japan?

liam's also got his own band but most oasis fan's would rather see guiggs playing the top string of the bass any day...

Bonehead appeared with Liam at the boxing the other day. The guitars sounded great, but Liam's voice was quite shouty. If not as intended, this could probably be remedied giving him a louder mic. He's quite a snarly singer, and can't snarl when he's shouting.

Oasis were a major player in the "loudness wars" in the 1990s and loudness, here a wall of guitar, is a key part of their sound. So long as they have that, and Liam's band did the other day, the bassist and drummer can be basically anybody because you can barely hear them. This contrasts with one of their influences, the Stone Roses, where the bass and drum parts are clearly identifiable.

@kohakuebisu--interesting contrast with the sound of Stone Roses, another volatile group that reunited years after an acrimonious split that happened mid-set I recall. Reni is an amazing drummer in the live videos I have viewed. Stole the show from Brown and Squire at times.

Hopefully, Liam won’t punch Noel to end it all prematurely…

The Stone Roses are genuinely funky, and you can't be without a good bassist and drummer. Reni in particular is very good. For all Liam Gallagher's limitations, he's a better singer than Ian Brown, who is the prototype for the swagger.

There are several rock bands where the rhythm guitarist is more important than the bassist and drummer. The obvious example would be Malcolm Young (RIP) in AC/DC. He also co-wrote most of the songs.

They haven't hung it up yet?
