Every nation needs to.

Every society always adapts to everything. That is just stating the obvious.

But this paragraphs is ridiculous:

The benefits of limited and adapting to climate change far outweigh the costs, the report contended. The ADB estimates that “aggressive decarbonization” could create 1.5 million energy sector jobs by 2050, while also preventing up to 346,000 deaths a year from air pollution by 2030.

Any jobs created by "aggressive decarbonization" would be completely artificial and simply depend on government subsidies, i.e. money taken out of the economy. They might as well pay people for walking back and forth. And what does "air pollution" have to do with anything?

However I agree with this part:

Regional governments were providing $600 billion in support for fossil fuels such as oil, gas and coal in 2022, it said. The subsidies make fuels cheaper, discouraging a shift to cleaner energy.

There should be no subsidies for either fossil fuels or the so-called "green" energies. Let the chips fall where they fall. If consumers have to pay more for energy-intensive goods, so be it. This will encourage energy savings. And if "green" energy can stand on its own without being financed by taxpayers, so be it too.

How do you adapt to living with an overnight temperature of 40ºC and living in a tin shack with no protection from the heat? Little or no water. This summer thousands were hospitalized from heat stroke and thousands died. The destruction of crops from heat and lack of water.

Usual culprits rubbing their in glee planning how to increase their fortunes whilst the poorest shoulder the costs.
