Must really hurt the anti China crowd who accuse China of stealing technology.

Sorry guys, China is Future of motoring, get used to it. Build Your Dreams.

The company said the battery and charging system, called "Super e-Platform", boasted peak speeds of 1,000 kW, allowing cars to travel up to 470 kilometres (292 miles) after being plugged in for just five minutes.

That's pretty amazing. I really do think China is speeding away (see what I did there?) from Europe, Japan and the US as far as electric car technology is concerned. They're definitely way on top right now.

Sayonara Tesla.

They won't be going away anytime soon but their stock price has been massively over valued. Still is after the fall.

EV batteries keep getting cheaper and higher in performance, due to open nature of the technology. Why ICE engines have no long-term future, as the merits of EV just keep getting better and better in all respects.

Sayonara Tesla.

Tesla had three main markets, China, EU and the democratic side of the US.

Musk political intervention in several European elections made the public in general abandon Tesla, the same in the US thanks to his unchecked power grab, cancellations and firings that are very unpopular between democrats, and finally Tesla will never be as functional and cheap as the local options in China, so it has no main market anymore.

Currently very few places have the infrastructure in place to support 1000kW chargers.

Great news, this demonstrates China doesn't steal technology, instead of that, China is ahead from the rest of the world..

Well done China, keep climbing to the top..

Tesla going down..

And out of Vancouver International auto Show..

Love it.. LOL

The problem of faster charging times is less battery life. The cells are damaged by the higher rates of charging, and no word from BYD how they intend to overcome that issue. So not quite as good as this announcement makes it sound.

Great if I can charge my car in 5 minutes but not good if I lose a year or two of battery life. They are very costly to replace.

Advanced green technology not coming to the protectionists in NA and Europe. The rest of the world will benefit as Chinese NEVs move from one success to the next.
