19-year-old man arrested for assaulting 17-year-old girlfriend who lives with him

Police in Obihiro, Hokkaido, have arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of assaulting his 17-year-old girlfriend who lives with him.

According to police, the suspect, who is a civil engineering worker, is accused of punching the girl in the face at around 11:30 a.m. on June 14, NTV reported.

The girl suffered facial bruises and her injuries will require about 10 days to heal, police quoted doctors as saying.

The incident came to light on June 16 when an acquaintance of the girl reported to the police that she had been assaulted.

Police said the suspect has admitted to the allegation. They said he has been involved in domestic violence incidents in the past.

Kudos to her friend.

Sounds like the POS shoulda already been in jail.

He must be a good guy. He didn't beat up the acquaintance too. Who knows what the girl did to spark it.
