Might be time to start stoking up the fire in the Vatican

Pope Francis is an exceptional human being. Wishing him a recovery, alas unfortunately time waits for no man

Some criticism that he didn’t go far enough in dealing with the pedophile filth in the organization.

Maybe a younger, more energetic pope needed to get more proactive on this?

Sure that would be a good thing to happen.

He had his hands tied, it runs too deep to deal with in the priesthood.

So, just do nothing? Kids going to get diddled anyway?

I know the Bible teaches turning the other cheek but didn’t know turning a blind eye was a core lesson.

Not easy getting old, Pope had part of a lung removed long ago, likely putting him at greater risk of respiratory problems. Get well soon, God Speed!

No, but keeping the Catholic church is a higher priority to the church than "diddled" kids, justice or doing the right thing. Which is why so many, including the current Pope looked the other way.

Praying for the pope's happy death (yes, Catholics pray for that, and it's not the same as wishing death on someone) and the election of Cardinal Sarah as our next pope.

Then what's the point of him or the Catholic church. It's been rotten to the core since it started.

Give him some credit. He's been working feverishly trying to amend for all the abuses in the New World done in God's name. He was a prisoner himself of the fascist regime in his native Argentina, and he is very outspokenly critical of the unchristian policies of der Fuehrer Fascist traitor trumpChump.

And he's also excommunicated a few bishops who've sassed off the mouth about him, esp. the trumpanistas and the anti-vaxxer morons.

It's a huge onus but give him some credit. He even dared to visit the frightening totalitarian state of Myanmar!

Pope Francis has seen and witnessed a lot in his 88 years and we need his wisdom more than ever.

As servant leader, the 88 years old Pope Francis has been a source of inspiration to many across continents and cultures. People of goodwill love to see the Pontiff return to good health. Wishing the doctors and caregivers at Gemelli hospital success in their efforts. God bless.

Agreed!
