Police in Hiroshima have arrested a 23-year-old man on suspicion of fatal abusing his two-year-old son last October.
According to police, Haruka Tanaka, a restaurant employee, is accused of hitting or pressing his son Iori’s abdomen with some kind of object at their apartment at around 1:30 p.m. on Oct 24, Sankei Shimbun reported.
That same day, Tanaka called 119, reporting that his son was "unresponsive." The child was taken to hospital but died from hemorrhagic shock due to a damaged liver.
The hospital called a child consultation center to report a possible case of child abuse.
Tanaka lived with his wife and two children. Police are questioning his wife to find out if Iori had been abused on any other occasion.

A disgusting jerk. Another example of why people should be licensed before being allowed to breed.

He took a life. Give him life. Without possibility of parole.

To the kid (That guy is not a father), It was not your fault. You are the innocent one in this. RIP

Fairly certain the kid is not a regular reader of JT.

Sounds like a prime candidate for my Prison Homestay Exchange Program.
He can study abroad at the Massachusetts Supermax Souza Baranowski Correctional Center for 6 months, where he will learn how American maximum security prisoners deal with child abusers.
After all, even violent sick maniacs have baby brothers and sisters.

An excellent idea sir!
Let him have a little "cultural exchange."

He likely kicked the poor kid. Hopefully he will spend a long time in prison.

Wow, he was 21 when the kid was born. A kid himself. That’s what happens when kids have kids
