Statues are erected to honor the person. The Confederate army were for keeping slaves and hence have no honor. Removing the statues does not remove history, it removes honor from the dishonorable.

Remember, culture of the Pentagon is 'we all bleed red' and for services, say for example the US Army, 'we're all green' etc. Naturally there is ample diversity, but it's a merit culture, based on strict testing for promotions. WHY?

Because lives are at stake and morale, leadership should be highly qualified based on their objective results resulting in their promotions.

Nobody in the ANY of the Military Services wants inept unqualified leadership putting their lives at stake!
