Trump has an appetite for imposing trade tariffs on key U.S. security partners

But Trump, especially in his rapidly declining physical/mental/emotional state, continues to show he does not understand the effects of tariffs well, he's just grandstanding for his poorly educated anti-foreign, and anti-America base.

Trump, too "exhausted" to attend (even conservative channels') interviews.

Trump too exhausted to be on stage.

This is what some want to become the next POTUS?

If he's too exhausted for all of the above - he definitely will be too exhausted to stand against dictators!

As for all the others: finally do what has to be done!

Provide Ukraine with everything necessary to achieve a lasting peace - in accordance with President Zelesnky's demands!

Ukraine prevails!

Scholz has indicated that he's skeptical about aspects of a “victory plan” drawn up by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy,

The "victory plan" is a fantasy plan that Zelenskyy knows is pure fantasy. It is designed for Ukrainian consumption to say... " If only our Western allies had given up what we wanted, we would have won".

I’m worried that the “vote my conscience” Jill Stein crowd and Dems who oppose the Biden admin’s handling of Gaza could end up handing Michigan to Trump. I pray that doesn’t happen.

It’s going to happen.

Joe is desperately trying to keep the facade of Ukraine winning for 3 more weeks.

Jail is going to happen....or given both his clearly evident mental and physical health struggles lately, the ICU...

Good for Biden - again showing he will go down as one of our best Presidents...

I agree. But sadly he has no intention of standing against dictators. He'll just "encourage them to do whatever the hell they want," and send/receive "beautiful letters."

The "victory plan" is a fantasy plan that Zelenskyy knows is pure fantasy.

It's a far better plan than Putin's plan of throwing bodies into the meat grinder; destroying Russia's trading relations; and turning Russia into a vassal of China... which will gladly swoop in and take "Haishenwai," "Kuyedao," "Heixiazi" etc., as soon as the time is right:

Putin should be grateful that Zelenskyy is giving him an out.

It is much cheaper to support Ukraine than to do any fighting by NATO countries.

If Ukraine won't be connected to NATO, perhaps the EU can add them to their defense like Norway and Finland were for decades. Putin would crap his pants.

Trump would bring all sides to the table and deliver peace. That would be very hard to swallow for the pro war camp.

I know you would celebrate a russian victory, but part of me wants to see the MAGAs spinning around saying how Trump got the US the best deal ever.

Yes, ' until the last Ukrainian' has always been the neocon warmongers motto. In the name of strategic weakening of Russia.

Maybe don't invade a sovereign country next time.

Newsweek?

It's reported in many other outlets for those people who, like you, prefer to "shoot the messenger" and ignore the actual message.

Or perhaps you don't believe that China includes these Russian areas on maps? As an ardent nationalist, I thought you'd want to "right the wrongs" of the "century of humiliation."

Regardless, it doesn't change the fact that Russia and China's quasi-alliance is built on sand, and that this will affect the course of Putin's Ukraine folly.

Russia has a strategy. NATO/Ukraine have a PR strategy, not to win but to keep the Ukraine fan boys support for what any non partisan observer can see is a losing game.
